Title
Milk powder substitutes?
Question
Hi there,
Have just read your book and found it to be very enlightening, and the 'how to's' empowering, thankyou. Just a couple of queries. Do you have a bread maker recipe for the Sour Dough you mentioned? What products, if any, would replace milk powder? Also, (I feel a tad sheepish asking but) have purchased some coconut oil which is solidified in the bottle and am wondering if I need to heat it to get it out each time? Ha Ha
Kind regards,
Keren
Answer
Hi Keren,
Pleased you liked my book :)
I have some bread recipes on my website (recipe page) that can use the breadmaker, otherwise just do a google search for sourdough, as there is plenty to choose from.
I look for recipes that don`t need milk powders. But possibly REAL milk could be fine?
Coconut oil is definately hard in our country, I just get it out with a long spoon in its solid state. If you are using it as a moisturiser, I just rub it in my hands first then apply it to my face.
Hope that helps and all the best.
Cheers
Rachel
